Jeff is a Canadian artist born on the 29th September 1946. Jeff became interested in the art scene from a young age and taught himself photography, while studying art history in the university of British Columbia in the 1960s . Most of his conceptual ideas developed during those years, and he gradually started a new method to represent everyday life pictorially. His work consists of a range of art forms cinema, painting and literature. For example the work he is most well known for is making large illuminated light boxes that appear almost like advertising display screens, as well as photographs that depict real life scenarios or instants. He refers to his work as 'cinematographic' and 'near documentary'. Most viewers peer at his work and question whether they are staged or not. His work has been exhibited since 1969, in multiple locations around the world such as London, Washington, Germany and Sweden. And he continues to change the way we see the world with his photography.
Cindy Sherman
Cindy Sherman is an American photographer and film director born on 19th January 1954. She attended buffalo states college where she began dressing herself up as different characters. From then on she took up photography and started creating her most well known series "untitled film series". Sherman's work consists of her working as her own model, capturing herself in many guises and personas. In every piece of work she alters her wigs, costumes, makeup, prosthetics, and props This was a specific series featuring black and white photos depicting the stereotypes of women during that period of time. Also strongly linked to her strong feminist views of American Society. Besides representing showing how society was obsessed with a females youth and beauty. This is evident in her early work. Sherman's work was first exhibited in New York and since her work has participated in many events. Currently her work are held in London and Los Angeles .
A range of tasks were set in order to respond to these artists. I chose to select a famous work of art and re create the piece of art that represents my response to the original. The artist I chose for this task was Andy Warhol as Some of his best known works include the silkscreenand the Marilyn Diptych. Its qualities include colour this is an element of his art that stand out the most. Warhol's uses a range of of bright colours and duplicates the subjects in his images whether its a figure or object in order to create a pattern. I will be recreating his art by making physical pieces of a way to represent the colours the using photoshop to make the duplicated image. What I'm focusing on in during this process that the pieces are recognisable that it is inspired by Andy Warhol just by the colours I have used. Andy uses

The existence of photographs is what is present in the photo as well as the time and effort the photgrapher has taken in making sure the subject of the image is clear this is present in many photographers work. In photography Absence and Presence are opposites and can not be separated. Artists like Kazuya Tsuji, Abby McGuane and Amirali Ghasemi use portrait photography to expose the absence of the features of their faces. Each artists use different techniques to hide the features on their face to hide a part of their identity
