Danny Treacy works primarily with photography, his process led practice also incorporates elements of sculpture, performance, collecting, archaeology and anthropology.

Danny's interest in photographing abandoned spaces began when he re visited his hometown which was where he had grew up as it had been a very long time since being there, while he was there he started gaining interest by walking into these empty, bleak abandoned houses of Ireland or the "tombs" as he would call them

Danny attitude to liminal spaces is very positive as he sees this as an opportunity
Comment on Danny's use of materials and processes. What does he choose to photograph and how?Danny started to experiment with clothes; it started with a project called ‘Them’ where he had access to 200 flats that were ready to be demolished. Danny was taking photos inside some of the rooms, when stumbled upon a collection of discarded clothes
