Other than sight, which of your other senses was activated most powerfully by this image? Just the sight of the subjects in the photo already trigger your other senses, each sense is being overpowered by the image. Everyone is familiar with the strong scent of the fruit as it oozes through the image, especially how the fruit has been cut. In addition you can feel the texture since this image since the skin sort of hard with a smooth, waxy feeling that is interrupted by thousands of small dimples along with a random placement of a strand of hair. These combination of textures create a sense of uncomfortableness. These tastes do not belong together What is it about the photograph that affected you? What affected me in the photograph is two textures in the photo are completely opposite as one is rough and one is smooth/silky.This instantly gives you a look of disgust when looking at the photograph. One object in the photo is meant to be placed in your mouth but the placement of the hair immediately changes your mind If you were to make a new photograph in response to this image, what would you do? In response I would try to place a combination of two materials/objects the don't belong alongside eachother that also create that sense of mystery behind the photo
Rodland response
In response to rodland I also chose a fruit as my subject, I also wanted to show a weird combination of materials. I added water droplets to the apple to add that sense of that fresh taste of crunching on a tasty apple this is accompanied with an animals paw. As animals are usually associated as being very dirty, this is not something anyone would like to be next their food. In contrast a freshly washed apple touched by a germ and bacteria ridden on an window sill. This also lead to the question of why is the apple outside in thee first place?, this is not the type of place food should be around.
